At long last Junsa Taekwondo is back in action at the Round Towers GAA Club. We are not at full capacity as we still have to practice our safe distancing, but back we are and making our wonderful Olympic sport available to everyone .It is great to see some familiar faces and some new ones at the club.We have been working hard over the last few weeks in preparation for getting back to training , putting in place clean of equipment schedules to keep everyone safe. While there will probably be no competitions this year we at Junsa will be in preparation for next years tournaments. We will also be preparing for any Black Belt gradings that might be put on the calendar at the end of this year. While combat sports has been given the go ahead to resume training , at Junsa Taekwondo we still insist on our intermediate and advanced students wearing face coverings while pad kicking and we will gradually introduce sparring over a period of time , all while still wear face coverings. Step by step. Our beginners class will have very little physical contact, this class is all about learning the moves , improving their skills , movement, hand eye coordination, kicking drills , flexibility , confidence and having fun.Junsa would like to thank all their members for their support on getting back up and running after the last few months, we would also like to thank the Round Towers GAA for their help in getting the hall safe and ready for us to use and of course to the LuskLocal for covering our stories.
