Lusk Action Group working hard for the community

At the time of writing, we are in the process of fundraising for and organising Christmas lights for the Main Street. We would like to thank our Electrical contractors who very generously volunteered their time and expertise to get these up and running. We could not have done without you! Mark Kenny of TMA Electrical Ltd, Gary of SAGAR Electrical and Eamonn of Eamonn Walsh Building and Electrical Contractors. Huge thanks to Bentley Steel and Larry Kane who produced our beautiful Christmas trees on the main street at no cost. And to all our volunteers who helped get the lights up and running. We would like to thank our businesses and all our community for their huge generosity. We were very limited by regulations, but we made the most of what we were allowed to do! Next year we will have more time to plan and add to the lights. We are please to note that Fingal County Council have altered the plans for the housing development on Barrack Lane/Dublin Road, which includes a substantial lowering of the roof height and pitch.Planning Permission is being sought on the Rathmore Road. We would encourage everyone to view the plans online and take the time to submit an observation. We will be strongly advocating amenity and infrastructure before housing development, and it would help if this was echoed by the community. Visit fingal.ie The Reference Number is: F20A/0523. Works have commenced on Lidl in the Lusk Village Quarter. It should be completed by the end of Summer 2021. The Lusk Text Alert System has been up and running since the Summer, organised by the Text Alert committee. This needs support from the community, so we would encourage everyone to sign up.
