Donabate Portrane Men’s Shed has received funding to upgrade our facility at the Donabate Sea Scouts’ den. We wish to acknowledge the Department of Rural and Community Development, Fingal County Council and the Local Community Development Committee for this recent generous and very welcome grant under the Community Enhancement Programme 2020. Once Covid-19 restrictions are eased, this work will allow us to expand our offering to include outdoor activities, suited to these pandemic times. We will also then be able to use the sanitising equipment purchased with another grant from Fingal County Council.This year our allotment has been such a success with our members that the Men’s Shed is applying to Fingal County Council for a second allotment for next year.We wish all our members and the wider Donabate Portrane community a very happy, safe and peaceful Christmas.
