The Tower Singing Circle meets in Keelings of Donabate on the secondand fourth Monday of the month. Of course with COVID19 lockdown and restrictions the meet up in Keelings had to stop. But the song must go on and Margaret Godwin organised Zoom sessions on each Monday for members of the Singing Circle. These sessions were very successful. Local members were joined by singers from Swords, Rathfarnham and Bray. On several occasions we were joined by former Portrane resident, but now living in Canada, Sean Buckley.There was a great selection of songs – humourous, romantic, songs about war, strifes, modern and not so modern.We are all very grateful to Margaret for organising the sessions and her commitment to the Singing Circle. We were challenged to find and learn new songs and Margaret has kept a record of these songs.We took a break for the month of August but we hope to be back on Zoom in mid September.
