Six ladies from Lusk ICA recently joined a group of 55 ICA members and travelled with Kieran Troy on the friends’ trip to the Italian / French Riviera for a long weekend. They flew into Nice airport checked into the beautiful Londre Grand Hotel in Sanremo.
Following tours of Monaco and Nice, both famed for their opulence and beauty, the ladies then travelled to the famed weekly market - Ventimiglia (known as the largest in Europe), and they also got the opportunity to visit Sanremo market.
Sunday saw the group take in a 4-hour trip to the ancient city of Genoa and were proud to see the famous plaque on the wall in remembrance to Daniel O’Connell, who died in Genoa in 1847.
The final night saw the group of ladies visiting the beautiful town of Menton on the French border, situated right on the beach.
Our thanks to Paula from Lusk First Responders who visited us and gave us a very interesting talk.
The ladies joined up with the ladies from Swords ICA for the summer outing to the Irish Linen center in the north and stopped off at Banbridge Boulevard, finishing up the day in the Village Inn for a lovely meal.Swimming has recommenced at 11am on Saturdays on Rush beach. All welcome.
