Lusk Cleaning Group – Keeping Our Community Looking its Best

The Lusk Cleaning Group continues to be busy throughout the year, with volunteers giving their time to help keep our village clean, tidy and looking its best.

Our volunteers regularly head out across Lusk to tackle litter picking, weeds and overgrown areas, tidy flower beds and maintain some of the community features around the village, including our barrels, bikes and planting areas. Every job, big or small, helps make a difference.

Over the past few months, volunteers have taken on a number of larger projects, including helping to prepare Murray’s Car Park for the Lusk Farmers Market and last Autumn we completed a huge clean-up of Lusk National School’s forest walkways, clearing overgrown vegetation and helping make the area more accessible and enjoyable for the children for the year.

October Community Bulb Planting
Looking ahead, we will soon be preparing for our annual community bulb planting day in October. This is always a great opportunity for people of all ages to come along, get involved and help add some extra colour to Lusk for the spring.

Keep an eye on the Lusk Cleaning Group Facebook page for details of the bulb planting day and other upcoming clean-ups and projects.

We are always happy to welcome new volunteers. Whether you can spare an hour occasionally or would like to get involved more regularly, every bit of help is appreciated. Together, we can make a real difference to our community.
